Mary Tavy Parish Council Annual Parish Meeting

Our Annual Parish Meeting will be held on Thursday 11th April at the Coronation Hall. The meeting starts at 7pm. All members of the public are invited to attend.

There will be a report from the Parish Council Chair which will summarise the Council’s activities over the past year. There have been some notable successes but plenty of challenges remain.

There will also be a financial report from our new Parish Clerk.

We have broadened the scope of the meeting beyond the normal agenda items and would also like to discuss:

  • The planned renovations to the Coronation Hall. Representatives of the Hall and Field Committee will be on hand to give a report and answer questions
  • The restoration of, and exciting new use for, the recently decommissioned phone box at the top of Bal Lane
  • An update on Speedwatch activities in the parish
  • The future of the Mary Tavy Nature Projects and Climate Action Group

We have also invited representatives from Mary Tavy and Brentor Primary School, the Police and the Dartmoor National Park Authority along with our County Councillor and West Devon Borough Councillor.

This is a great opportunity to not only hear what your Parish Council is doing but to ask questions of the Council and have informal discussions with representatives of local organisations and projects.

Free tea, coffee and biscuits will be available.
